Rebecca Freeh Adomshick, M.S., CCC-SLP, ATP

Training

Rebecca is a speech-language pathologist with extensive experience serving children and young adults with communication impairment and their families, in both medical and educational settings.

She graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Nazareth College of Rochester in 1998, and her Master of Science from the University of Arizona in 2000. She completed her Clinical Fellowship Year at the Kennedy Day School of Franciscan Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA while pursuing special interests in the communication needs of children with multiple disabilities, and augmentative communication strategies.

Certifications

Rebecca holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, and has repeatedly received the Association’s Award for Continuing Education.  She is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Occupational Affairs as a Speech-Language Pathologist, and holds permanent certification by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a K-12 Specialist. She maintains credentials in several additional states.  Rebecca has also been certified as an Assistive Technology Professional by the Rehabilitation Engineers Society of North America, and maintains professional affiliation with CASANA for identification and treatment of Childhood Apraxia of Speech.  She is also trained and registered in Natural Language Acquisition for autistic learners and other gestalt processors, and is committed to supporting development in an affirming and child-centered environment.
